Gears of War: E-Day has a fun secret weapon called the Cluck Puncher, which you can unlock by completing a hidden Easter egg in Act 2, Chapter 2. This item uses chicken eggs to attack your opponents rather than shooting regular rounds from the gun. You have to look for and destroy seven egg boxes scattered around the map. How to Get the Cluck Puncher
One interesting Easter egg in Act 2, Chapter 2, unlocks the Cluck Puncher, which is basically a chicken shooter. You can unlock this Easter egg by finding and shooting seven packs of eggs spread out in this chapter. Each time you shoot one, you will hear a sound confirming that you found the right spot.
Find All Seven Egg Packs
In the process of playing Act 2, Chapter 2, be on the lookout for the hidden egg packs that you find in the level. To get the Easter egg, you will have to destroy all seven of these packs. Their locations vary in the chapter, so remember to explore other places apart from the path you take. Once you destroy these egg packs, you will be led to the place where you can unlock the weapon.
Location 1 – Store/Garage
The first egg carton is available during your second side mission, in which you have to save a family that is trapped inside a building. Open the garage door and save the family members. Move to the other side of the building and search for a cooler cabinet that holds the eggs. The eggs cannot be shot from inside; therefore, go outside and shoot the cartons from there. It is not necessary to shoot all the cartons; you just have to shoot the ones that make the sound of the chicken.
Location 2 – Gas Station
The following egg carton is located at the gas station close to the train yard. You may refer to your map to locate this building. Go inside and search for a shelf which holds the egg carton. Aim and shoot the egg carton once, listening to the sound of the chicken. Disregard the other cartons which are scattered on the floor, because these cartons do not form part of the Easter egg. After that, continue through the train station and head into the larger open area.
Location 3 – Major Burger
When you get into the open space, there will be a Major Burger right in front of you. Go inside the establishment, then turn to the left. Go to the back of the room, where you will see a refrigerator that has more egg crates. Shoot them until you hear the chicken noise.
Location 4 – Major Burger Near the KPD
Now, go to the second Major Burger, which happens to be close to the Colona Police Station. Go inside the restaurant and head towards the back of the restaurant. There, you will see some more egg cartons. Shoot the egg cartons and hear the sound of chicken.
Location 5 – Major Burger Near the Bofrog
There is another Major Burger located down the road from where you first saw the Bofrog. Go inside the restaurant and proceed to the rear end, just as you did in the other two places. There will be another egg box waiting for you there. Shoot that egg box and pay attention to the chicken sound again.
Location 6 – Major Burger Near the Downed Raven
The last egg carton is available after progressing through all the main missions. Progress with the storyline to reach Mag’s apartment, then the bank, and the construction site. Once you have passed through the blockade and saved the doctor, you will get access to the open world again.
After that, travel to Major Burger, where the bonus mission for Downed Raven is available. Enter the building, move to the left side, and reach the back of the restaurant. The egg carton is available at that location.
Location 7 – Destroyed Apartment
Once done with the previous part, drive along the road and stop where there will be another intersection. Focus on the ruined apartment block. There will be an egg tray on top of a fridge located inside the apartment block. It may prove difficult to shoot it up close; therefore, one can try using the scoped firearm to take a shot from a distance. Another way would be to use the Gut Puncher to shoot it up.
How to Get the Cluck Puncher
After shooting the last egg carton, the Cluck Puncher will appear on the ground. Go to it and collect it. The completion of the seven different locations is not required in a specific order; you can do that in any order you like. If you’ve passed any location before, you can still go back to shoot egg cartons there.
