The Hunterknight Gunsmith Twins are a pair of Hunter Rays that fight together. Since they work as a team, you will need to use the Xenochromatic Hunter’s Ray’s Fontemer Water Blade to cut the link between them. Doing this stops their strongest attack and makes the fight easier. You need to complete this for the Summer Event that is currently present in the game.
These twins can be found when taking part in the “Sunny Summer Fontinalia,” in the two separate events of “Operation Deep-Dive Treasure” and “The Gunsmiths’ Departure.” Defeating them earns you 1,500 event money, and you can obtain them as decoration items. They can be found in the Fontaine region, which is located northeast of the Pale Forgotten Glory region.
How To Defeat The Hunterknight Gunsmith Twins
One of the Rays fires a water blade from its tail at you, dealing hydro damage equal to 50% of its attack. Sometimes both the rays will create a visible link between each other while charging up. After a short delay, they each launch a strong water blade that deals hydro damage equal to 100% of their attack.
If you use the Fontemer Water Blade to cut the connection before they attack, the move is interrupted, and both rays lose 20% of their max HP. After the Twin Hunter Ray finish their combined attack, they will rush forward and create a glowing orb between them. As soon as the orb appears, hit it to deal damage to both the Hunter Rays.
You can’t defeat one ray while the other is still alive. As long as one of them remains standing, the other’s HP cannot go below 1%. To finish the fight, you need to bring both the Rays down to 1%, and they will be defeated together.
