The A.T.A.G. Marine Exploration Plating is one of the three components required to craft the A.T.A.G. in Crimson Desert. You must figure out how to get the Plating Blueprint from the underwater ruins known as the Hydrothermal Vents in order to craft this item. In this guide, you will learn where to find this Plating Blueprint and how to craft the Plating.
A.T.A.G. Marine Exploration Plating Blueprint Location

Location: Hydrothermal Vents
To find the Plating Blueprint, go to the Hydrothermal Vents and switch on the Underwater Detection System. This device will assist you in moving through the underwater area and finding the ruins.

Look for a huge chimney to identify the area. The blueprint is located near the second chimney close to a wrecked ship. Go to the ruins and explore their back side.

Access the ruins from the bottom and swim up through the openings in the ceiling. You will come across the chest where the Plating Blueprint appears. Collect the book and read it to unlock the blueprint.
How to Craft A.T.A.G. Marine Exploration Plating

Upon gaining access to the blueprint, you will require three specific resources to craft the Marine Exploration Plating. These include Natural Pearl, Hydrothermal Minerals, and Giant Hydrothermal Salamander. You must also obtain Marni’s Masterium to produce this component.
Required Crafting Materials
- Natural Pearl: Look for Natural Pearls in underwater ruins while exploring the sea. The ruins you visit for the blueprints may contain them.
- Hydrothermal Minerals: Travel to the Great Hydrothermal Vents and look for smoking rocks. Use a pickaxe to break these mineral deposits and collect the materials.
- Giant Hydrothermal Salamander: Search for Giant Hydrothermal Salamanders around the Great Hydrothermal Vents. Defeat them using an underwater harpoon, then swim underneath the creatures and skin them to obtain the required material.
Important Crafting Tip
Before you start the crafting process for the Marine Exploration Plating, you first have to retrieve everything from the Gatherables Chest and place it inside a regular chest in your Private Storage.
The components inside the Gatherables Chest will not connect to the Construction Site, which will stop you from being able to actually craft the equipment. After you have gathered all of the components, you will be able to craft the A.T.A.G. Marine Exploration Plating once you have unlocked Marni’s Masterium in Crimson Desert.
