In Gothic 1 Remake, you have to complete the two quests, the Bully for Bullit and the Double Double quests, in combination with one another as they’re tied together. To finish them both, you must complete Syra’s task and deal with Bullit before she can give you her stew recipe for Snaf. So, here is a step-by-step walkthrough.
How to Start Double Double
Talk to Snaf, the Old Camp cook, in Chapter 2. He will tell you how the warders keep discussing the stew Syra has made in the castle. Agree to getting the recipe for him to begin the Double Double quest.
Next, head to the castle courtyard and look for Syra. She may either be sitting on the bench near the entrance or cooking inside the kitchen.
Speak with her and convince her that you’re trying to help. She’ll explain that Bullit has been giving her trouble, allowing you to take on the Bully for Bullit quest.
How to Beat Bullit
Wait until around midnight, when Bullit walks through the area by himself. Before confronting him, let the nearby guard leave. Then speak with Bullit to make him attack you.
Instead of fighting him immediately, lead him to the ambush spot and jump onto the raised platform on the left. Bullit can’t reach you from there, letting you attack him safely with headshots until he goes down without taking any damage.
Once he’s defeated, put away your weapon, loot his belongings, and wait for him to stand back up. Talk to Bullit again and warn him to stop bothering Syra. He’ll eventually agree and swear that he won’t harass her anymore.
Note: If someone witnesses your actions or becomes angry with you, simply wait one full day and their anger will disappear.
Get Syra’s Stew Recipe
Since Syra sleeps during the night, wait until morning before returning to her. Tell her that Bullit has promised to leave her alone. She’ll thank you for helping and mention that she hopes to leave the camp for the Swamp Camp someday.
Ask her about the stew recipe afterward. Although she initially refuses because it’s only prepared for Gomez’s table, she decides to share it with you as thanks for your help.
Collect the Ingredients for Snaf
Take the recipe back to Snaf. After looking at it, he’ll ask you to collect the following ingredients:
- Carrots
- Raw Meat
- Strong Beer
- Mistcap Mushrooms
- Cavern Dew
- Mole Rat Mushroom
- Moss Boss
