In Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, the quest “One Eye Closes, One Eye Opens” is a combat laden mission that features lava golems and interactions with Tyrael. In this guide, we’ll show you how to find the entrance to the vault, progress through the dialogues, and finish all objectives to complete the quest.
Defeat the Lava Golems
You will have to start the quest by fighting a number of lava golems in a straightforward fight. You will need to defeat them to proceed inside the vault. More lava golems appear along the way, so clear the enemies as you progress through the area.
Travel to the Vault Entrance
After you have taken care of the enemies, proceed towards the entrance objective marker. After you have arrived at the location, proceed to the entrance to trigger the next part of the quest. Once you are there, you will need to speak to Tyrael to continue.
During the interaction, Tyrael channels magic and reflects on being an angel. He tells Lorath that he does not know what Tyrael is feeling and then states that he feels like “light dancing on the edge of a soul.” Tyrael then goes on to ask what is left of a person that has lost its connection with being an angel.
After completing the first conversation, you will need to speak to Tyrael again. The dialogue options you choose will not change the outcome of the quest, so you can choose whatever option you want to continue with. Once you have finished talking to Tyrael, you will successfully complete the quest.
