In Gothic 1 Remake, Ghorim’s Replacement is a fairly simple side quest which doesn’t take much effort from your end. In this guide, we’ve outlined everything you need to know for completing the quest by locating Ghorim and defeating him in a fight.
How to Begin the Quest
The Ghorim’s Replacement side quest that you’ll be able to unlock at the Swamp Camp during Chapter 1. Go to the marked location near the swamps, interact with him, and he’ll complain about Harlok not helping him in mashing the Swampweed. Since everyone is under Kalom’s supervision, Ghorim can’t leave his work to go look for Harlok. He’ll ask you to do it for him and pay Harlok a visit. This is what initiates the quest.
How to Find Harlok
To find Harlok, you’ll need to go to his hut which is right under Kalom’s lab, next to Fortuno’s shop. Once you find him, you’ll need to deliver Ghorim’s message to him: “Get your lazy ass to the herb mashers or I’ll kick it all the way to Nordmar”. This will anger Harlok and a fight will break out between the two of you.
You’ll need to defeat him so that he agrees on going to Ghorim and helping out with the mashing of Swampweeds. Defeating him also awards you with 30 XP. Follow him as he travels to the herb mashers and meet Ghorim who’ll be relieved to see that Harlok is back and helping them. He’ll reward you with 300 XP and this will complete the quest.
