To begin the Kortz Center Heist in GTA Online, you must first be able to enter the Art Studio located in one of the game’s different Mansions. Since the Art Studio cannot be bought independently, you need to have a Mansion so that you can utilize and unlock the heist mission planning area.
Purchase a Mansion
You need to open your in-game phone and look for Eyefind. After that, you’ll need to head to Prix Luxury Real Estate and hit the Choose Property button to buy one of the Mansions available to you. If this is your first Mansion purchase, the cheapest one goes for $11,500,000. The Mansion owned by Devon Weston in Tongva Hills costs only $11.5 million.
As soon as you purchase the Mansion, you’ll need to select it again and hit the Renovate option to begin adding upgrades.
Note: Richmond Villa is a good choice at $12,800,000 if you can afford it because it’s the closest Mansion to the Kortz Center.
Install the Art Studio
In the process of renovating the Mansion, go to the Additional Rooms section and buy an Art Studio. The Art Studio upgrade is $4,700,000, and the total cost if you’re buying both the Mansion and the Studio is around $16,200,000 for the first time. You will have the option to customize the Tints, Patterns, Decor, Armory, Arcade, Podium, Vehicle Workshop, Security etc.
If the Art Studio is not visible to you, ensure that your game has the latest update, since the upgrade might not appear otherwise.
Enter the Art Studio
After the renovation is complete, you’ll need to go back to your Mansion and make your way to the Basement Level 2 to reach the Art Studio. When you visit the Art Studio for the first time, a cutscene will play showing Raf and Fabian. Once you finish the cutscene, make an entry as a Boss which allows you to use the Planning Board located inside the Art Studio.
Complete the Heist Setup
With the Planning Board unlocked, you can begin the Kortz Center setup by starting the Scope Out mission.
Before the heist becomes available, you’ll need to complete the required setup work, including:
- The Kortz Center Scope Out mission.
- All mandatory preparation missions.
- Every required task listed on the Planning Board.
In total, the Kortz Center Heist features five required prep missions and five optional prep missions. Once the mandatory setup has been completed, you’ll be able to launch the heist.
