The Scout Ray Chassis is one of the best upgrades for the Tadpole in Subnautica 2, increasing your vehicle’s speed. After installation, this upgrade equips special wing attachments that increase the speed of your underwater movement significantly. This upgrade is useful when you need to travel between distant biomes or return to your base quickly. In this guide, we will tell you where to find the Scout Ray Chassis blueprint and what materials you need to craft it.
How to Unlock Scout Ray Chassis

From your Lifepod, head towards the east and move forward for some distance. During this process, you are likely to pass by a huge wreck. Keep moving east until you reach approximately 650 meters from your starting point.

After that, there is going to be a huge drop to the bottom, where you are going to find a small alien building. Position yourself just in front of the alien building, facing towards the western direction. If you can find your starting Lifepod on the horizon in a straight line, then you have reached the right place.
Inside the alien building, after passing through the next door, you will find the Scout Ray Chassis blueprint. Scan this blueprint with your scanner to unlock the Scout Ray Chassis. Once the scan is complete, the Scout Ray Chassis will be unlocked automatically.
How to Craft Scout Ray Chassis

The Scout Ray Chassis can be made in the Vehicle Fabricator once you unlock the blueprint for the upgrade. The ingredients needed to build the upgrade are two Plasteel Ingots, one Advanced Wiring Kit, one Dedicated Core, and one Strong Acid. Once you acquire these ingredients, just head over to the Vehicle Fabricator and start making the upgrade. As soon as the upgrade is created, it will immediately attach itself to your Tadpole, making it significantly faster than before.
