Phantasmal Fragments are one of the currencies that will come in handy in AION 2, allowing you to buy items for your character in the Nightmare Trade Shop. It is possible to obtain these fragments by participating in Nightmare runs, among others. If you know where you can farm Phantasmal Fragments and how to spend them, you will advance faster. This guide covers the best ways to earn Phantasmal Fragments and the rewards worth buying first.
Phantasmal Fragments in AION 2

The Phantasmal Fragments are one of the unique currencies utilised in the Nightmare Trade Shop for the game AION 2. They can be acquired by means of Nightmare content, while the Attendance system and Nahma Abyss bosses also provide some other ways to get them. The player cannot obtain this type of material by just killing any ordinary mobs; thus, if he wants to get enough Phantasmal Fragments, he has to engage in Nightmare missions.
How to Farm Phantasmal Fragments
Complete Nightmare Runs

Nightmare is the primary method for farming Phantasmal Fragments. Nightmare becomes available from Level 45, and killing bosses from Nightmare grants the currency. The higher the Challenge Levels, the better the rewards will be, with up to 1,500 Phantasmal Fragments available through Nightmare runs based on the content and reward.
There are two attempts allowed in a day, which can be stored up to 14 attempts. Thus, players can save up their attempts and make multiple runs whenever they find free time. It would help if you tried to push through to higher Challenge Levels, as it offers better rewards and Nightmare bosses.
Claim Attendance Rewards
There is also an option of receiving a few fewer Phantasmal Fragments via Attendance rewards. This does not demand much work on your part, so be sure to redeem them each time you log in. The Attendance rewards should not replace Nightmare farming; it merely serves as an additional source of the Fragments.
Participate in Nahma Abyss Bosses
Phantasmal Fragments can be gained from the rewards that players receive for participating in the fight against Nahma Abyss bosses. It is not required that you defeat the boss yourself; rather, simply striking him will suffice for this achievement.
There are three Nahma Abyss bosses in the bottom tier and two in the middle tier. This makes Abyss boss participation a useful way to collect additional Fragments while doing other activities.
What to Spend Phantasmal Fragments On
Phantasmal Fragments are spent in the Nightmare Trade Shop, which currently contains 33 offers. These include progression materials, consumables, Wings, Skins, and Statues.
Prioritise Growth Items

If you are still improving your character, spend your Fragments on Growth items before cosmetics. The most useful purchases include:
- Stigma Shards for Stigma progression
- Daevanion Crystals for Daevanion Board progression
These upgrades provide lasting character progression, making them more valuable than cosmetic items while you are still building your character.
Save for Colossus: Zikel’s Apparition
However, if you are interested in buying one of the big purchases that the shop will make over time, you can save up 14,000 Phantasmal Fragments for Colossus: Zikel’s Apparition, which gives buffs to Destruction, Justice, and Time and also takes up the Colossus place in the Pantheon. This is definitely more expensive than usual Growth purchases, so think about it carefully.
Cosmetics and Other Items

Once you have acquired the necessary Growth items, you can spend your leftover Fragments on cosmetic items, such as Wings, Skins, and Statues. There are also many more other consumable and utility items available in the store. In case character advancement is your objective, there is no reason to invest heavily in cosmetics initially.
