In Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, the last part of the campaign is the “No Gods, No Masters” quest. This quest takes place at the Tree of Whispers located at the Fractured Peaks, and includes the following tasks: meeting Tyrael and Taissa; approaching the tree; freeing Lorath; and concluding by completing a cutscene.
Meet Tyrael Near the Tree
The quest starts with you heading to the Fractured Peaks and once you’re there, you will need to find Tyrael by the Tree. If you have already completed the main quest, your closest waypoint will be unlocked; however if you have yet to complete any side quests, you will need to utilize the roads to reach the Tree to proceed with this part of the quest.
Upon arriving at the destination, players will find Taissa standing nearby. You’ll need to engage in a brief conversation here where Tyrael will introduce Taissa. This interaction helps with objective progression.
Approach the Tree of Whispers
Once the dialogue ends, go to the Tree of Whispers and interact with it to start the next part of the quest. When you approach the tree, a couple of lines of dialogue will play during the encounter. The dialogue gives context to Lorath while you are there and mentions that he cannot be redeemed.
During this step, your objective is to take the torch and free him for which you’ll need to accept the torch and continue through the objective to move the quest forward.
After you’ve taken the torch, the final part of the quest will begin with a cutscene that plays shortly after you’ve taken the torch. After the conclusion of the cutscene, the quest will be completed.
