Crimson Desert requires Flawless Timber as a basic resource used in crafting things such as Shadow Leaf Cloak set. You can also donate Flawless Timber to your camp for additional wood making it a highly prized resource. However, Flawless Timber requires multiple steps to be obtained and this guide will explain how to efficiently gather Flawless Timber.
Unlocking the Chainsaw
To obtain Flawless Timber you must first unlock the chainsaw. Travel to what will become Dlesia which is located east of Demeniss. Be careful of the nearby enemies, as they will attack you on sight unless you wear a disguise; also, if you fight next to the researcher, he will run away and you will have to fast travel back in order to continue.
To unlock the chainsaw, you must first unlock the “Electricity Movement Conversion Mechanism” research from the researcher. Then go to your data storage location to set up a dispatch to build the chainsaw, which will take a couple of hours to complete and has no damage or breakage potential once made.
Upgrading the Chainsaw
The next item you need after getting the chainsaw is the necessary upgrades that will allow you to gather Flawless Timber. To gather Flawless Timber, you must have your chainsaw upgraded to a specific level to gain the “Expert Logging” stat. Gathering Flawless Timber
You will be able to gather Flawless Timber with the new upgraded chainsaw by gathering timber from trees. In addition to this new ability, if you have the skill of “Expert Logging,” there is also a 50% chance of earning extra timber for every tree cut down. This will help increase the number of Flawless Timbers that you can collect from each tree.
