The Sawhorse is one of those upgrades you’ll need early if you want to improve your crafting setup in Windrose. It helps increase your Workbench, giving you access to better recipes and smoother progression as you build your base. While it’s not hard to make, you’ll still need to collect a few materials and unlock it through normal gameplay. The good news is that most of what you need comes naturally as you explore and craft. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get the Sawhorse and the materials required to build it.
How to Get Sawhorse

The Sawhorse is a great addition to your workbench that will help you unlock better crafting options as you advance through the game. However, unlike other buildings, the sawhorse must be built within the reach of a Bonfire, so plan your building space carefully.
Building a Sawhorse is quite straightforward and takes less than five seconds. You will need 20 pieces of wood and 10 copper ingots to build the structure. The required resources are easy to obtain after some gameplay, allowing you to create a sawhorse relatively quickly.
The first step towards unlocking the Sawhorse is finding all the required items. The most common way of unlocking new recipes is exploring the game’s environment and using the items you find. To unlock the sawhorse, you will need to find one-handed weapons, copper tools, and others.
In general, you will be able to unlock the item by completing your exploration in the Coastal Jungle biome. Copper ingots are the main ingredient in the recipe and should be available in abundance. Once you have unlocked the ability to build a sawhorse, place it next to your workbench to benefit from its features.
How to Make Copper Ingots and Wood

Copper Ingots are an important crafting material in Windrose, mainly used for making better tools and armour. To get them, you’ll need to smelt Copper Ore using a Smelting Furnace.
Once you have the furnace ready, just add 4 Copper Ore along with 1 Charcoal and start the process. It takes about 30 seconds to complete, and when it’s done, you’ll get a Copper Ingot that you can use for crafting stronger gear and upgrades. To geed wood just grab your axe and chop down trees. You’ll find plenty around the island.
