Where Winds Meet: How to Complete Charm Pouch Wandering Tale Quest

Charm Pouch is a Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet that charges you with finding three blessed coin bags located somewhere around the Halo Peak region of Qinghe, and like most Wandering Tales, the game gives no quest markers and only the vaguest hint that the items are somewhere nearby.

While “near Halo Peak” sounds simple, the area is large enough to turn this into a time sink if you don’t know where to look. This guide will walk you through where to start the quest and the exact locations of all three coin bags.

How to Begin Charm Pouch Quest

You can start the Charm Pouch Wandering Tale by finding Aunt Guo, who can be seen searching the roadside near a small grove of bamboo.

She’s directly west of the Halo Peak teleport stone, hunched over some rocks as if she’s lost something. Talking to her outlines the situation: a travelling master badgered her husband into putting three charmed coin bags in locations with “heavenly energy” to keep evil spirits away. Aunt Guo thinks it’s all a scam and wants the bags back ASAP.

She doesn’t know the exact locations, only that they’re somewhere around Halo Peak.

Charm Pouch Walkthrough

All three of the coin pouches are in the Halo Peak region. Each one is associated with a different type of “omen,” and they’re spread out across high ground, through caves, and in enemy camps.

Coin Bag 1 – Evil Coin Bag

From Aunt Guo’s position, go up the stone stairs that lead into the mountain. Eventually, you’ll come to a large pond with a fisherman nearby. Continue past it to a small wooden bridge that crosses over a deep chasm.

Head down to the lower level and kill the Bear standing guard over the lower pond. When it’s dead, turn around and with Wind Sense on – V -, you will see a cave behind you. The entrance is covered in brambles, but these can be burnt away with a Fire Arrow.

Inside the cave, it rests on a stone, to the left of the treasure chest in which the Evil Coin Bag is located.

Coin Bag 2 – Omen Coin Bag

Next, head to the summit of the mountain, west of where Aunt Guo is, and at the top, you’ll see a major pagoda-shaped tower, with right next to it, near the edge of the cliff.

Backing the shrine, there’s a circular disc tucked into the mountainside; jump onto it and use a slam attack Q, which will trigger the mechanism and unlock a treasure inside the shrine. Next to that chest is the Omen Coin Bag.

Coin Bag #3 – Terminate Coin Bag

The final pouch with coins is at the foot of the mountain, in an enemy camp full of monks. You can clear the camp if you like, but you don’t have to.

Turn on Wind Sense to locate the End Coin Bag, which is sitting on the ground beside a fish-drying rack near the wall of the mountain. If you don’t wish to engage in combat, you can utilise Celestial Seize to capture the bag from afar and get out.

Quest Completion and Rewards

Collect all three coin pouches, then go back to Aunt Guo and hand them over in exchange for completing the Wandering Tale.
