Dragon’s Breath is one of the flashiest Mystic Skills in Where Winds Meet, and it enables you to let out a fiery blast that melts anything in front of you. That said, before you can start scorching enemies, you’ll actually have to trigger a specific Wandering Tale and track down a stolen book. This takes a little time, but the payoff is well and truly worth it.

How to Obtain the Dragon’s Breath Mystic Skill
The only method of learning Dragon’s Breath is through completion of its Wandering Tale, Dragon’s Breath, starting inside Beast Reverie in Kaifeng City.
You’ll find the quest-giving NPCs:
- Luo Jiu
- kongkong
They are both located on the first floor of Beast Reverie, which is in the district of Fairgrounds, on the southeast side of Kaifeng City.
Talking to them reveals that Liang Yuan of Straw Shoes Camp stole Luo Jiu’s Travelogue: Toehari. He can only teach the Dragon’s Breath skill once you manage to retrieve it.

Where to Find Liang Yuan
To recover the stolen travelogue:
- Head to the Straw Shoes Camp on South Gate Avenue, which is west of the Main South Gate Boundary Stone.
- You will notice Liang Yuan talking with others as you enter.
- Go behind his back and use Celestial Seize to pickpocket Travelogue: Toehari directly from his inventory.
(Important: Don’t get caught; for if someone watches you steal, you will get reported, arrested, and tossed into jail, forcing you to do a Pardon Parade unless you want to just wait it out.)
Once the book is in your hands, you’re good to leave.
Turn in the Travelogue
Bring the Travelogue: Toehari back to Luo Jiu in Beast Reverie. He’ll finally reveal the method for learning Dragon’s Breath, but the game won’t automatically teach you the skill yet.
To complete this process:
- Open the Journal.
- Go to the Wandering Tales tab:
- Select Dragon’s Breath and claim your rewards.

Dragon’s Breath Quest Rewards
Finishing the Wandering Tale gives:
- Dragon’s Breath Mystic Skill
- 20 Echo Jade
- 10 Kaifeng Exploration
- 1,500 Coins
- 1,500 XP
You’ll now be able to equip Dragon’s Breath and torch anything in your way.
