Power Cable is a rare craft material that’s most notably used to upgrade the Gear Bench in your workshop. It can also be recycled for Wires, which are required in a range of advanced blueprints and station upgrades. Despite how common it sounds, finding Power Cables consistently can be frustrating — most areas are often picked clean by other Raiders.

Where to Find Power Cables in Arc Raiders
Power Cables have the Electric, Commercial, and Residential material tags. That means you’re going to want to focus your search in locations marked with those symbols on your map. Power Cables are found in containers like drawers, lockers, utility crates, and computer desks.
While Power Cables spawn across all maps, Dam Battlegrounds consistently provides the highest drop rate for them.

Dam Battlegrounds – Best Power Cable Farming Locations
Field Depot (East of Power Generation Complex)
- Check the drawers in the computer desks inside the depot.
- Also search the nearby cupboards and storage units in adjacent buildings for additional Power Cables.
Field Depot (South of Electrical Substation)
- Found between the Water Towers and the Electrical Substation in the southwest.
- Power Cables have the best chance to spawn in the sheds surrounding the substation.
Testing Annex and Electrical Tower – Red Lakes Balcony area
- Both of these locations sometimes spawn Power Cables.
- The Field Depot west of the Testing Annex is especially good if it hasn’t been looted yet.
(Tip: Always check for drawers and small cabinets — Power Cables often spawn inside rather than in open crates.)
Spaceport – Reliable Backup Spots
If Dam Battlegrounds is overrun, Spaceport is a good secondary option.
Fuel Control (Electrical Tag)
- Power Cables can be dropped from multiple containers and utility crates.
- A Utility Crate to the southeast of the area, between Fuel Control and Launch Towers, commonly spawns one.
Control Tower A6
Search the tower’s desks, cabinets, and terminals.

Buried City – Commercial and Residential Spawns
There are a few scattered spawns of Power Cables tied to the Commercial and Residential zones of Buried City:
- Piazza Arbusto (Commercial Area) – Check the Utility Crate just west of the plaza.
- Space Travel and Research (Contested Zone) – More difficult fights, but high-quality loot.
- Santa Maria Houses and Plaza Rosa – Great for looting drawers, lockers, and household containers.
