Gluttony Boss Stats
Before you get into the fight, you need to check out the stats of the boss and be prepared for the fight.
- Level: 140
- Difficulty: Hard
- Unlock Requirement: Defeat Molten Fortress Intercept Boss 1x time
- Weak Point Type: Crush
- Elemental Weakness: Fire damage
- Attack Element: Chill Attribute
- Recommended Resistance: Chill Resistance 8,400
- Destructible Parts: Sensor, Core Cover, Balancer
- Removable Parts: Core, Shoulder
Best Descendants and Weapons for Gluttony Boss Fight
Since you need to deal fire damage, Gley, Lepic, and Ajax seem to be the best bets here. Level them up as high as they can go and slap some cold resistance. You can also use the new Descendant, Luna, for this fight. If you wish, you can use Yujin and be a healer to your team while the others try to agro the boss.
As for weapons, hand cannons like Nazeistra’s Devotion or Burning Hound are best to deal with the boss. But you will also require weapons to push the ice cubes spawning across the arena. For that, machine guns are the best, and you can go for Enduring Legacy or Tamer. Also carry any sniper rifle for more precision shooting at the boss’s weak spots
How to Beat Gluttony
Beating Gluttony is quite easy if you and your team work together and know what each one is doing. The main gist of the boss fight is to cool off the hand weapon on Gluttony using the ice spheres that spawn across the arena, then focus on attacking its weak spots. When you first spawn into the arena, focus on shooting up the weak spots while keeping an eye on the meter on its handgun. The meter should not get full, otherwise there will be a total wipe
Once you weaken Gluttony just enough, it will become enraged. During this stage, find the projectors that are spewing these ice spheres. Be careful to not stay near the ice spheres, as they will cause splash damage if they detect you nearby. Floating near the ice spheres is another large purple sphere. The purple sphere will start linking the ice spheres together, making it easier to detonate them when they get close to Gluttony
To link the ice spheres with the purple sphere and push them towards Gluttony, use your machine gun and shoot at the ice spheres and link it with the purple sphere. The more ice spheres you get to push, the larger the chain. You will notice a purple link between the purple sphere connecting it to the ice spheres. When the purple sphere gets close to the Glutton, shoot it down to detonate it and it will also detonate all the ice spheres. Be careful that Gluttony does not absorb the purple spheres, as this will recharge its weapon. Repeat this step a few times till Gluttony reaches cooldown and enters the 2nd stage
For the 2nd stage, you have to work faster. The recharge on its hand weapon will be faster, so you need to split up your team here. You can keep two teammates on DPS, focusing on the Gluttony’s weak spots. While the other two keep pushing ice spheres towards it to cool it down. Whoever is focusing on DPS should also try to pry away the removable parts of Gluttony during this stage, as this will slow it down from reaching an enraged stage. When the boss is down, everyone should focus on DPS to lower their health. Eventually, during the final stage, you can use your sniper rifle to finish it off and complete the challenge
