Driftwood is not an early game material, but there is a way to get it a bit earlier than usual. After defeating the Cyclops boss in the City of Ephyra, you will soon reach the ships that will take you to the Path to Olympus. Once you reach this second area, you can start farming a bit of driftwood. Luckily you don’t require any special item to help you collect Driftwood. You can quickly pick them up as you encounter them. There is a driftwood you can get for free at the gates of Rift of Thessaly, as well as at Charon’s Shop before Eris boss fight
To use driftwood, it can be used as a crafting material. Driftwood can be used to unlock Aspects for weapons, refine tools, or craft incantations. While it may not seem as important right now, you will require it later in the game. So it is best to keep stock of any driftwood you come across and store it for a rainy day
