To unlock the Chassepot Rifle, make your way to the Swamp Provisioner Realm and find an Essence Trader here. If you don’t have the Provisioner Major Card unlocked yet, you can learn how to get it following this guide. After you find the Essence Trader, purchase the rifle blueprint using Essence. Next, head over to the Refined Workbench to unlock the recipe for the Chassepot Rifle. You would have unlocked the Refined Workbench by now if you have crafted the first gun of the game, the Lancaster Pistol.
You should have other workstations unlocked like the Brazier, Refined Saw Bench, and the Tanning Station. With these, you need to craft the following parts for the gun. Once you are done crafting the parts, assemble the items at the Workbench to get the Chassepot Rifle.
- 1x Barrel and 1x Action – Brazier
- 1x Leather – Simple or Refined Tanning Station
- 1x Stock – Refined Saw Bench
How to Upgrade Chassepot Rifle in Nightingale
You can upgrade the Chassepot Rifle the same way you upgrade your other weapons and gear. Head over to the Simple Upgrade Bench and upgrade the Chassepot Rifle to Uncommon grade. This requires T1 Essence, so gather as much of them as required. Next, craft Infusions using the Refined Enchanter’s Focus. Once done, place the infusion on the Chassepot Rifle to get the upgraded weapon.
