Starfield’s quests have several objectives that don’t have a clear explanation on what should be done. After meeting Veena in the Neurodamp Division, she will operate on you and give you the Manipulation ability. Your first target who you can test it on is Demarcus. You can find Demarcus on the Observation Deck. Make your way over and look down to find him. Now, all that is left is to use your new skill on him as a test run. To do this, pull out your scanner and aim towards Demarcus. A new option will come up to activate the manipulation ability on him.
After activating the ability, point to the keycard on the table next to him. Once he does that, manipulate him again then point at the scanner near the door. Demarcus will then get to the door and use the keycard to scan and open it. Now that you have completed the test, you can talk to Veena and Demarcus to learn more about your ability and how it impacted their research.
