Yoimiya is a skilled pyrotechnician hailing from the region of Inazuma, known for her fiery passion and artistic brilliance. As a five-star character, Yoimiya possesses remarkable pyro abilities that set the battlefield ablaze. She wields a bow with exceptional precision, launching her flaming arrows at enemies with unrivalled finesse. In this article, we discuss why Yoimiya isn’t as bad as everyone thinks she is.
Yoimiya’s Journey in Genshin Impact as a Playable Unit
Yoimiya’s mastery of pyrotechnics allows her to create explosive fireworks that not only dazzle the eye but also inflict formidable damage upon her foes.
Sadly, due to her bad luck, she’s been placed alongside Archons during her banners which automatically lowers the chances of players pulling for her even though she’s an amazing unit. Yoimiya was released as a single-target ranged Pyro DPS but unfortunately, everyone compared her to the absolute monster that is Hu Tao. During her release, she was tied with Diluc in terms of overall DPS which isn’t bad until you consider most players already had a Diluc or a Hu Tao as their Pyro main DPS so people weren’t sold on Yoimiya’s kit when it was only on Diluc’s level.
Casual players on the other hand immediately loved her because she made killing bosses easy. Be it weekly or world bosses, Yoimiya’s range, attack speed and damage output meant that you didn’t have to go melee against enemies and learn their attack patterns. This also meant you didn’t get hit as much so more survivability. And she was doing all this while casually matching Diluc’s damage numbers- which, mind you, were only achieved after months of grinding and investment.
Yoimiya paired up perfectly with Xingqiu to form a devastating Vaporize combo while firing off attacks like a machine gun. With more investment and her dedicated artifact set, she was dishing out more punishment than Diluc. In terms of Pyro DPS, she was second only to Hu Tao and players forgot that. With the release of Yelan and the trend of double Hydro with Yelan and Xingqiu, Yoimiya became even more devastating. Her damage numbers were only slightly lower than Hu Tao’s and much more easily achieved since you didn’t have to learn anything fancy like animation cancel or dash cancel.
Beyond her combat prowess, Yoimiya embodies the spirit of joy and celebration. With her cheerful demeanour and infectious enthusiasm, she brings warmth and merriment to every gathering. Her love for fireworks is evident in her artistic creations, filling the night sky with brilliant displays that illuminate the hearts of those who witness them.
Whether you seek a formidable warrior to vanquish your enemies or a vibrant companion to brighten your adventures, Yoimiya’s fiery spirit and skillful pyrotechnics make her a captivating addition to your team. She’s currently having her rerun alongside Yae Miko and this is your chance to pull for her. We wish all players the best of luck in their pulls.
