In Diablo 4: The Lord of Hatred, the Wounded Souls quest features a massive defensive operation against enemies trying to invade through the northeast wall. To finish the quest, players must defend several siege towers from being damaged and stop the second wave of assault by killing the Seaborn Goddess located in the southern gate.
Start the Quest and Reach the Northeast Wall
To start the Wounded Souls Quest, you first want to make sure you’ve unlocked the waypoint just west of Temis; this will allow for faster travel later on, so you need to take care of this before proceeding. After you’ve unlocked that, you can then proceed to speak with Tyrael in order to begin this quest.
You will then have to go through the dialogue sequence with Tyrael. Afterwards, continue through the area with Tyrael until he’s done talking. Afterwards, your next objective will be to speak with the Amazonians in the area; during your conversation with them, they will tell you that the northeast wall is being attacked, and at this point, your objective will be updated once again.
Head over to the northeast wall and smash down the gate in order to continue progressing through the quest. Continue pushing through the enemies to help the defenders while they are fighting; shortly you will have a new objective that will require you to assist the wounded while the other defenders are holding the line.
Defend the Siege Towers
This next phase of the quest concerns defending three siege towers located outside the walls. To defend a siege tower you will need to defeat all of the enemy forces that are attacking each tower. Once a siege tower is secure, it will be indicated by a message popping up during the game. Keep going until you have defeated all enemies in the area and all three siege towers have been secured.
Defeat the Seaborn Goddess
When you’ve secured the siege towers, the second wave will attack from the south. Go to the southern gate, and defeat the Seaborn Goddess that is leading this assault. Once you defeat the creature, you will learn from Tyrael that the Goddess is now filled with Mephisto’s hatred. After speaking with the captains one last time, you will complete the quest “Wounded Souls.”
