6. Heavy
The Heavy class utilizes double handed ranged weapons, but lacks melee weapons for close range combat. Their unique ability called Iron Halo creates a shield around the player, granting immunity from ranged damage for a short duration. But melee attacks can still pass through, making this a tough class to master. If you prefer playing as an offense but with a team, then the Heavy class will work for you. The Heavy class has the best weapons that can deal a ton of damage, great for boss fights but worst for mob control
5. Assault
The Assault class has a unique skill called Jump Pack, and this enables them to jump up and perform a slam attack. This is great when you are facing hoards of Tyranid enemies and need to get rid of them quickly. This class is a full on melee class, with a few choice pistols available for range. What the Assault class lacks in weapons, it makes up for in skill. Their powerful jump attacks is great for PvE, but have increased cooldown time and lower jump velocity in PvP
4. Vanguard
A more balanced class, the Vanguard lets you have all the fun of an Assault class with weapons like the Tactical class. The Grapple Launcher of the Vanguard lets you use your grappling hook to get up close and personal with your target. You can equip heavy duty primary weapons while also having a choice between some good melee weapons. So if you want to test the waters using ranged and melee attacks, the Vanguard is for you
3. Sniper
This class is great if you want to only play from a distance. The long ranged weapon choices of the Sniper can let you aim at targets from miles away. They also have the Active Camo ability, which lets them stay invisible for a short duration. If they attack while this skill is active, they lose the power of invisibility, but instead they gain added damage boost. Snipers double up as medics to help heal fallen comrades while staying hidden. The only downside to this class is that you only get the combat knife as your melee
2. Bulwark
If you prefer a more tankier class, then the Bulwark is made for you. They are the only class that has a defensive shield which blocks incoming attacks. But because of owning a massive shield, the Bulwark lacks ranged weapons and only focuses on melee and pistols. Hence why this class is great if you prefer close combat. Their Rally Flag ability will regenerate the team’s armor, further increasing overall defense.
1. Tactical
The Tactical Class is a well rounded class that is like a jack of all trades. You can deal melee and ranged attacks and have a large collection of primary weapons to pick, along with a few choice secondary and melee weapons. Most non-heavy weapons work well with the Tactical class, hence why this class is the most popular amongst the others. The Auspex Scan skill of the Tactical class lets you highlight enemies and increases the damage they receive.
Which class should you pick?
If you want to focus more on PvP, then Heavy, Vanguard, and Tactical offer the best in the lot. You can customize your playstyle accordingly while getting a variety of weapons to pick from. You will also receive increased defense and damage output, which is great when dealing with other players
PvE players can go for Bulwark, Assault, and Sniper. These classes are great for mob control and dealing with heavy hitting bosses. Bulwark offers the highest defense stats, while the Assault’s skill can control large mobs. Snipers can take down targets from a distance, which is great for clearing the upcoming area.
