Miner’s Malady is a quest in Where Winds Meet that takes you into the mines of Hidden Mountain. After discovering that the male miners have mysteriously fallen ill, you’ll need to investigate their condition, heal several miners, and uncover a clue that leads back to Cai Xin and Shi Erniang.
How to Start Miner’s Malady
To start the Miner’s Malady, teleport to the Rollstone Hollow Boundary Stone, and look towards the left to find the NPCs. If the NPCs don’t seem to appear, it would mean you haven’t completed the Mirkvale campaign yet. You’ll need to finish the Mirkvale campaign to make sure Cai Xin and Shi Erniang appear at their designated spot.
Speak to them and they’ll tell you how something peculiar has been going on in the mines. Every man working in the mine has fallen sick while the women are doing fine.
Healing Shi Langlang and the Other Miners
Next, you’ll need to teleport to the Hangrock Hamlet Landmark to reach Shi Langlang. You’ll find him in a sickly state coughing up. Assess him and you’ll find out that his illness is rooted in his lungs. Since the condition isn’t serious, you’ll simply need to channel your inner energy to treat him. Go a little further and you’ll find Wang Qian whom you’ll need to heal as well.
Afterwards, you’ll need to take the stairs, and go to the upper level to find Mo Chanchan sitting by a pole. Heal him and he’ll then point you towards a veil on the right side. Pick up the veil and go back to Cai Xin and Shi Erniang. Give them the item and the quest will be complete.
