God of War Ragnarok is one of the most-awaited games of this year. Since the game launched on 9th November 2022, players have dived into it to explore every feature of the game. Realm Shift Ability in God of War Ragnarok- How to Get and Use It?
God of War Ragnarok has lots of things to explore, as we have mentioned, and the more you play, the more you find new items and abilities. Generally, new abilities come from new armor, and Realm Shift is no exception. It is a passive ability that players can get by completing the Favor- Secret of the Sands. Players find this Favor by completing The Path Mission- Groa’s Secret.
During this Favor, Kratos and Atreus explore the north side of Alfheim- The Barrens. It is a snowy location, and as soon as the Favor is activated, Kratos and Atreus will get a Carriage to roam around the area. There they have to find two pieces of Armor- Gauntlets of the Radiance and Belt of Radiance Armor from two different locations, and these armor pieces will give Kratos the Realm Shift ability.
If you have confusion about the Realm Shift ability, let me tell you, it’s a slow-motion Parry technique. Once Kratos activates the Realm Shift, the opponent will be slowed down for a few seconds, and players can take advantage of this time. However, this phase is only for a few seconds. One of the most positive things about this ability is that it can slow down multiple enemies together.
If you have already come this far, let me tell you how to activate it. Players find the Shift Realm option on the screen after performing the last-moment dodge. You don’t need to do a full roll; instead, players need to do a single dodge at the last moment of the attack of the enemy lands. The Realm Shift ability will automatically be activated, and you can see it on the screen (as shown below). However, it lasts for a few seconds only, and until then, every enemy near Kratos slows down.
That’s all you need to know about how to get and use the Realm Shift ability in God of War Ragnarok. This ability is one of the greatest, but it can’t be accessed early in the game. Players need to progress some distance playing the game before acquiring the Realm Shift ability.
