The Call of Duty developers have announced an expanded update for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 1, which includes the new DMZ mode and Gulag mode. Two new weapons will also be introduced halfway through Season 1 and the other 2 at the launch of the game.

Previously, Call of Duty’s leveling system has been dissatisfying to many players. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 now feature a new Prestige Leveling System. This prestige system is very different from previous Call of Duty games. There are tons of new items for grabs as you continue to level your Prestige rank.

Let’s see in this guide how the prestige leveling system works.

How does Prestige Leveling System Works?

The Prestige system unlocks after you reach military rank 55 and rewards players. With this new system, progress made past Prestige 1 will stay even after the current season has ended. That means you can keep grinding towards your next prestige without losing progress.

At rank 56, you earn your first prestige, and the icon next to your name changes to a military seal to indicate that you have reached Prestige 1. You are awarded a prestige every time you level up beyond 50. This prestige is permanent and will carry over to the following season. Once the new season comes around, players will be given four more prestiges to choose from.

Following are the prestige and their level requirements for Warzone 2 Season 1:

  • Prestige 1: Unlocked at Rank 56
  • Prestige 2: Unlocked at Rank 100
  • Prestige 3: Unlocked at Rank 150
  • Prestige 4: Unlocked at Rank 200
  • Prestige 5: Unlocked at Rank 250 (the level cap for Season 1)

When you reach Prestige 1, you’ll receive an Emblem, additional rewards, as well as a set of challenges from which you’ll unlock an exclusive Calling Card after completing the challenges. It is possible for players to rank up from wherever they finished Season 01 on the Prestige Ranks after the season is over. This allows those who may not have enough time to level up to catch up in later seasons, while not resetting the progress of anyone who reached the Max Rank during that season.

This concludes our guide on the prestige system in Warzone 2. The game is set to release soon, so check our other guides to stay updated with the game.
