Overwatch 2 Error Code -1002 (Voice Chat Not Working)
As the error message states, this error is indeed due to your networking setup, particularly the IPv6. Most servers still operate with IPv4, so if you have IPv6 enabled it can cause the error. Here is what you need to do.
Diable IPv6 to Fix Overwatch Error [-1002]
- Open “Network Connections” in your OS
- Right-click on the current network you are using
- Open its Properties
- Turn off the IPv6 checkbox
The above fix should resolve your error, if not, try these other solutions.
Turn On and Off the Voice Chat
Sometimes you may be getting the error due to a simple glitch with the game or the client. A simple reboot of the game and after that go to the Battle.Net settings and turn off and on the voice chat. This should do the trick in some cases.
Reboot the Console
Another fix that seems to work is to simply reboot your console and the error will be gone. Sometimes, you may have to reboot the console a few times before the error resolves on its own.
