According to leaks, Genshin Impact Version 3.6 will bring with it a new Archon Quest and a Weekly Boss locked behind it. It will be Sumeru’s second weekly boss and it will be a Dendro Dragon- the exact name or nature of the boss still remains largely unknown but we do know some details. Read on to find out!
Dendro Dragon in Genshin Impact 3.6 Initial Leaks
According to the leak, the Dendro Dragon will have 2 forms- one in which it will have 2 normal 3D models and another one in which will have just one 2D model. The only other boss with a 2D model at the moment in the game is Dvalin who’s an Anemo Dragon from Mondstadt.
It can be speculated that its two 3D models will be similar to the Vishap world bosses who also have two of them fighting together as one in the same field. Leakers also say that it will spawn Oceanid-like creatures called “Seed of Arjuna, Ashura and Karna”- all of which are references to Hindu mythology. We also have another leak revealing a bit about the lore behind this Dendro Dragon.
The dragon is referenced as the arch-rival of Ra, the Sun God in Egyptian mythology. It bears epithets such as Lord of Chaos, Evil Dragon, The World Encircler and so on. With Genshin’s recent trend of weekly bosses using multiple elements, we can be sure this one too will wield more than just Dendro as its current name suggests.
According to leaks, the Archon Quest that will connect to this boss will occur in a new Desert region which will be added either in Version 3.4 or in Version 3.6 itself. The desert expansion will happen northwards from the current desert region in Version 3.1. Other world bosses and elite enemies are also referenced to be from the same region in other leaks.
