The Vanished Warder is a mini-mission quest in Gothic Remake where you will need to uncover what has become of a warder who goes by the name Nek. In order to get the mission started, Sly contacts you and asks you to check on his whereabouts. Though not the most difficult, the quest requires you to go outside the boundaries of the Old Camp. Completing the quest rewards you with experience points and also helps you gain Sly’s support for joining the Old Camp.
The Vanished Warder Quest
Approach Sly in the Old Camp and talk to him about his job for you. Upon the appearing dialogue option “All right. I’ll see what I can do.”, accept it and begin completing this quest. Sly will tell you that you should talk to Fletcher, who will give you more details. Fletcher can be found at one of the corners of the Arena District in the Old Camp. However, if you prefer, you can completely avoid talking to Fletcher and set off to find Nek.
The body of Nek lies dead in a cave near the South Gate of the Old Camp. You have to beware of a couple of aggressive Molerats near the cave entrance. After finding Nek, collect the Amulet of the Dead Guard from his body.
Once you collect the amulet, give it to Sly and complete the mission. It is confirmation of what actually occurred to Nek and finishes the Vanished Warder optional quest. In order to complete this quest, you just need to find the body of Nek and collect his amulet as proof, bringing it back to Sly. After this, giving it to Sly finishes the quest, and you will get support from Sly during the Admission to the Old Camp main quest.
