You can hide your helmet and spacesuit if you are exploring known terrains and habitable areas. Sometimes you will encounter a planet where you can breathe easily without your helmet and spacesuit. Let’s take a look at how to hide your helmet and spacesuit.

  • Head over to the character menu and select the inventory
  • Select the Spacesuits option
  • Turn on the Hide Spacesuits in Settlements setting
  • Go back to the inventory and select the Helmet option
  • Turn on Hide Helmet in Breathable Areas

You can choose to disable either one if you wish, or if you want to hide or show them in future, you can always head into this menu option. With this feature active, you don’t have to worry about missing your helmet or suit while exploring inhabitable planets. Enabling this feature will automatically keep your suit and helmet on you, and will disappear when you reach a friendly planet.
