In Gothic 1 Remake, the Special Pieces quest requires players to find the only item that Santino is willing to accept. However, the quest cannot be completed until after players have progressed further into the story. Here’s a complete guide on how to finish this quest easily.
Find Santino
To find Santino at the start of your adventure, head for the Old Mine. First, cross the bridge to get to the mine entrance, then go into the small store where Santino is located. You can offer Santino any random item but he will say no and ask you to come back with something more special.
Progress to Chapter 3
You won’t be able to finish this quest right away. Continue playing until Chapter 3, when you receive the objective to collect the Focus Stones.
The Focus Stone can be found in the Mountain Fortress with Lester leading the way to the library where he will stay while you head out to find the Focus Stone. To grab the stone, you will need to travel to the Swamp Camp to meet up with Nyras at the entrance. Nyras will then take you to the Focus Stone and will require your help to clear the enemies in the area.
After the cutscene, Nyras will lose control and take off with the Focus Stone. You must then take him out to take the Focus Stone from him. Remember that he cannot die during the fight.
After you have the stone, do not teleport to the Water Mages; instead, head back to the library to speak with Lester. Lester will give you a scroll of tenure and explain to you that this is the deed to the mountains and fortress that will allow you to sell them to someone and divide the proceeds.
Give the Deed to Santino
After leaving the mine, Santino has moved to the Old Camp near the market square, where he can be found either on the streets or at his home upstairs.
When you speak to him and present the land title, Santino will recognize that you have given him an important item. He will agree to accept it from you immediately.
Once he has accepted the land title, Santino will invite you to follow him. He will lead you to a hidden door into the castle and give you a key that will allow you to unlock it. The Special Pieces quest will then be complete.
