Sons of the Forest just got a massive update with a lot of new content, not a lot, but you can certainly spend a week going over the new upgrade system, a new cave, new blueprints, and buildable structures, and finding the pickaxe. If you still have not read the patch 12 notes, you can follow the link to read it. We also have an article on how to upgrade weapons. Once you have gone over the features, you must wonder if you are able to upgrade all weapons in the game.

Unfortunately not, but you can upgrade a lot of them. We have researched and tried each of the weapons and come up with a list of Golden or upgradable weapons in Sons of the Forest. Here are the weapons.

All Golden or Upgradable Weapons in Sons of the Forest

In order to upgrade weapons in the game, you need to craft the Enchantment Table after finding the blueprint for it. All the new content in the game revolves around the newly added cave. So, the first thing you should do is find the cave, and the blueprint, and then get crafting. Here are all the upgradable weapons in the game.

When it comes to guns, there are only five that can be upgraded. Do note that not all part of the weapon turns golden after the upgrade. All the attachments remain their original color. Here are the golden guns in Sons of the Forest.

  • Pistol
  • Revolver
  • Shotgun
  • Rifle

The Axes can also be upgraded in the game and once upgraded they deal more damage. However, when used for cutting we could not see a significant improvement from before the upgrade.

  • Tactical Axe
  • Modern Axe
  • Firefighter Axe
  • Pickaxe

Besides the above two weapons categories, there is a range of other weapons you can update using the Enchantment table and the weapons are:

  • Crafted Club
  • Machete
  • Cross
  • Golf Club
  • Guitar
  • Katana
  • Miscellaneous

These are all the weapons you can upgrade in Sons of the Forest. If we missed out on any weapon, please add them in the comments.
