There are only a few critters you can claim as a mount, namely the Grasshopper, Gecko, Wolf Spider, and Damselfly. Each of them has various abilities you can make use of after taming them. To tame a critter, you have to find and attack them in the wild first. Once their health is below 50%, you have to feed them the respective treats to befriend them. Below is how you can unlock all the mounts in the game

How to Get Grasshopper Mount in Smalland Survive the Wilds

You need to craft a cauldron to create the grasshopper treat. You can unlock the cauldron after crafting the Stonecutter. Next, you need to acquire 10x Stone and 7x Refined Wood to create the cauldron. Once you have your cauldron, you will need 3x Insect Eggs, 1x Petal, and 2x Seed Oil to make the grasshopper treat. You can get insect eggs and petals while scavenging. Seed oil can be made after acquiring the poppy seed and using the Stonecutter. Use the ingredients in the cauldron to get the treat, then give it to the grasshopper once it is in low health.

How to Get Gecko Mount in Smalland Survive the Wilds

The process is the same as for the Grasshopper. To make the Gecko treat, you will need 2x Ant Heads, 2x Bee Heads, 1x Petal, and 2x Seed Oil.
