Collecting every mount in RuneScape: Dragon Wilds is a lengthy grind, as each variant has a low drop rate and can come from different sources, including chests, merchants, bosses, and rare enemies. Knowing where to farm and which methods to prioritize will save time and make completing your mount collection far more efficient.
Overview

The Umbral Sands update adds the Magic Carpet as a new mount type and expands Terrorbird customization with additional variants. There are now 17 collectible mount variants to unlock, 15 Terrorbirds and 2 Magic Carpets, excluding the default versions. Each variant has a 5% drop chance from its respective source, and duplicate drops mean completing the full collection will require repeated farming.
All Mounts and Locations
Fellhollow

After obtaining the shop mounts that are available at the time, go and farm for the rest of the Terrorbird types at Fellhollow. When farming at any location, the primary objective will usually be chest drops; therefore opening chests should be a top priority while farming in this area.
Also while opening chests, try to kill Zogres if you see them because you can get the other two mounts (Spring Dowdun Runner and Grassroot Screeature) from Zogre or from the chests they drop when doing chest runs. You can also find Zogre located at Dowdun Unreach, which will give you additional opportunities to find these mounts as well.
The Leafwood Strider is a little different because it only drops from the Zers. By doing a combination of chest runs, Zogre and Zer kills, you will be able to maximize your probability of getting all Fellhollow mounts.
Dowdun Unreach

Head over to Dowdun Unreach as your next spot, where you can find more Terrorbird variants inside chests. In addition to opening chests along your route, defeat both Zers in this location to increase your overall loot pool.
In this area you will be able to find the Eclipse, Summerbellied Wagtail, and Sun-Kissed Claw Foot from opening chests. Please note that Zogres have a long respawn time of up to eight days, so you may need to return multiple times to the area while farming.
Umbral Sands

The Terrorbird mounts located in Umbral Sands all come from different chests, so as you do your chest runs around the area you may find yourself getting some of these mounts (Apple Feather, Scorch Summer Ashbeak, and Crimson Crybaby).
You can also obtain the Crimson Crybaby by killing the Red Dragon; this will give you another way to obtain that mount in addition to doing your chest runs around Umbral Sands.
Other Ways to Get Mounts
Shop Mount Variants

You can unlock six Terrorbird mounts by visiting merchants throughout the world before starting to grind for them. The main merchant in Umbral Sands’ first town sells the Zamaracking Pledge Saddle and the Infernal Blightbeak. Posty Pete’s Evil Emporium at Dowdun Unreach has the Astral Beak Warbler and the Coastal Sunbreak, meanwhile Death at Fellhollow sells the Oak Feather Raptor and the Moss Break Hunter. This will reduce the total number of mounts that you will have to grind for by acquiring these six first.
Regional Dragons

In addition to their normal sources, every Terrorbird mount covered above can also drop from the dragon associated with its respective region. The Blue Lesser Dragons can drop the Dowdun Unreach mounts and the Eclipseborn Sharpbeak, while the Red Dragons can drop the Umbral Sands variants.
However, these dragon drops only have a 1% chance to appear, making them a much less reliable farming method than focusing on chests and dedicated enemies.
How to Get the Magic Carpets
Uzerian Umber Magic Carpet

The Uzerian Umber is one variant of the two Magic Carpets that drops from Tox-Xil Golems in the Umbral Sands city.
The recommended farming route includes four Tox-Xil Golem spawns. One is located in the southern part of the map, another can be found inside a nearby cave after completing the required quest, a third spawns above the nearby hole, and a fourth appears elsewhere on the map. Compared to Zers, Tox-Xil Golems respawn much more quickly at roughly three to four days, allowing for more frequent farming attempts.
Moonsilk Weave Magic Carpet

The Moonsilk Weave magic carpet is the second alternative variant in the Magic Carpet series. To obtain this, players need to defeat the Khalphite Queen. Khalphite Queen is a boss that respawns every two days and can be found at two different spots.
The first location is at the end of the westernmost vault. Below the Manafem Plains. When players carry the Scarab Staff through the vault to light the way through, they will eventually reach the Khalphite Queen and have a chance of obtaining a Moon Silk Weave from her.
The second location is inside a fight arena at the northernmost point of the map, just northwest of the pyramid. Placing Lodestones near both locations will help facilitate quick, multiple farming trips.
