The engineer has an important function in Crimson Desert as they assist you with various activities, from creating to obtaining important items needed to continue playing the game. So if you want to learn how to get the engineer into your camp, here’s a detailed guide to help you unlock them step-by-step.
Progressing to the Grounds of Sunrise
To get access to the engineer you need to have progressed through the game enough to complete the mission assigned to you from Grounds of Sunrise. This mission consists of going out to find the other characters you have played with up until this point. You will need to complete a task called “Gathered Will” to complete the mission of bringing your friends back together.
Unlocking the Mission for the Engineer
The “Reunited With Comrades” Mission will be visible to you as soon as you complete the Gathered Will stage. This mission can be completed at either location of St. Halssius or Southern Quarry. The engineer in the Southern Quarry makes more sense as engineers are often linked with more industrial or mechanical locations.
However, you won’t get to complete this mission until after you have finished the original base upgrade. This will provide you with some new tents for your camp and allows you to recruit comrades. After completing the second base upgrade, you will receive even more tents for additional comrades. It is only after these upgrades that the mission to recruit the engineer will become available.
Upgrading Your Base
It is likely you have not yet unlocked the mission for recruiting the engineer in the game yet if you cannot access the mission without completing the second base upgrade. Without this upgrade, the mission to recruit the engineer remains locked. Keep progressing through the game, focusing on upgrading your base until you unlock the second upgrade. Once this is done, you’ll gain access to the mission and, eventually, the engineer.
