To find the Artifact of Distortion, you need to make your way to Damp Caverns. This map is one of the two variant maps for level 2, with the other being Sky Meadow. Once you reach the Damp Caverns, make your way to the topmost platforms and head right. You will soon find the Artifact Gate and a short vine that will take you down there. But you won’t get the artifact right now, as you have to locate and activate a switch nearby.
If you look further right, you will notice some narrow platforms stacked on top of each other. Hidden between the flora of the bottom platform is a switch. The switch can only be activated by AoE explosives. Bandit’s dynamite throw and Enforcer’s Crowd Control are some ways you can activate the switch. Headstomper and the Gold Explosive will also work with characters that don’t have explosive abilities.
You need to make your way to the switch by using jetpacks, Hopoo feathers, or if using Miner you can float down there too. Use any of the abilities above on the switch to activate it. There is a little hack where you can use Enforcer’s Crowd Control to activate the switch without jumping across. Just stand above the Artifact Gate’s left side pillar and release the move to make it land on the switch. After the Artifact of Distortion appears at the gate, you can jump back to the platform or use the vine on the platform above the gate to get the artifact.
