Both the Stingray and the SR-M1903 are equally good, but each of them has its list of pros and cons. You can purchase the SR-M1903 from the Merchant just after Chapter 2, so you can use this Sniper Rifle quite early in the game. The Stingray, on the other hand, can be bought from the Merchant after Chapter 7. The SR-M1903 will cost 12,000, while the Stingray costs 30,000.
Now that we know how to get them, let’s take a look at their stats. Here we have compared the Stingray with the SR-M190 at their max level, and how they rank in terms of precision, reload speed, perks, and more.
Level 5 Stats | Stingray Assault Rifle | SR-M1903 Sniper Rifle |
Power | 4.9 | 5.3 |
Ammo Capacity | 18 | 13 |
Reload Speed | 1.18 | 5 |
Rate of Fire | 0.92 | 0.53 |
Precision | 5.40 | 5.20 |
Exclusive Perk | 2x Rate of Fire | 2x Power |
Total Cost (All Upgrades+Perks+Purchase) | 446,000 | 359,000 |
The stats above show that the Stingray is slightly better than the SR-M1903. The Stingray has more ammo capacity, reload speed, and a higher rate of fire. Coupled with the 2x rate of fire exclusive perk, the Stingray can shoot enemies at a faster rate. If you wish to quickly eliminate your enemies fast, then the Stingray is your best bet. The only thing it lacks is the power and reload speed, which the SR-M1093 fares well.
The SR-M1903 also has a 2x Power boost, which brings the maxed-out 5.3 Power to a whole new high. But its rate of fire still suffers against the Stingray. This sniper rifle is great for bosses, but not so much for crowd control and faster enemies. In the end, it comes down to your personal preference, but for us, the Stingray wins this round hands down.
