Shouting or yelling at civilians will make them stand down without you going over to each of them individually. This can save you time especially in areas where there are several casualties. To yell at civilians, you should quick-press the following buttons.

  • PC – Middle Mouse Button
  • Console – Up on D-Pad

To use this function, get into a room full of civilians and aim at the group. After that, quick press the respective button to shout. You will notice that the civilians will immediately go down, leaving you free to take on the guards and steal the precious loot.
