If you encounter an armored police who has a riot shield in front of them, then you will be having a hard time. You cannot sneak up behind them since they always know your presence, and they always appear when you least expect it. There are a few ways you can tackle shields in the game. If you are playing solo, aim for the glass opening on the shield and shoot them. This is the only weak spot available on the shield that you can effectively use.
In case you don’t have the time to aim at them, then it is best to get them backed up to a wall or just pass through a doorway. If they are passing through a doorway, you can quickly get behind them and shoot them at the back. If you have instead backed them against the wall, you can jump up and shoot at their head, or zig zag around them till they get disoriented, giving you enough time to shoot at their sides.
Playing as a group would be easier, as one of your teammates can distract the shield while the others go around it and kill it.
