To find Jormuntide Ignis, you need to make your way to Investigator’s Fork waypoint. In case you haven’t unlocked this waypoint yet, head west from the Forgotten Islands waypoints and make your way across the water. You will soon reach the rocky terrains of Investigator’s Fork Pal Sanctuary. Jormuntide Ignis is very easy to spot, since they resemble regular Jormuntide but colored red. That is because they have Dragon and Flame abilities. They are at level 40 and above, so you need to bring your best weapons and strong Spheres to tackle them.
You should be wary of approaching the Jormuntide Ignis here. Hunting any Pal within the Pal Sanctuary will result in a Wanted status for criminal activities. The best way you can avoid detection is to lower the Jormuntide Ignis’ health just a bit, then toss an Ultra or Legendary Sphere. Any high end weapon like an assault rifle can deal enough damage, but if you kill it within the area then you will be tagged by the PIDF. Once dead, it will drop High Quality Pal Oil and Flame Organ. When released at your base, Jormuntide Ignis has level 4 Kindling, so you can take care of fire related tasks rather quickly.
