There are two ways you can get Berry Seeds in Palworld. One method is by scavenging the wilds, and the other is from enemy drops. You can collect Berry Seeds very early in the game, as your starting location will have Red Berry bushes scattered around the grass. Once you pick up the bushes, you will get Red Berries and Berry Seeds as drops. The second method you can collect Berry Seeds is by defeating Gumoss. Gumoss can be spotted hidden within the grass in the starting area, so you can quickly hunt them down and kill them to get Berry Seed drops.
You need to gather 3 Berry Seeds to get the Berry Plantation. Beside Berry Seeds, you also need to collect 20 Wood and 20 Stones. The Berry Plantation can be unlocked from the Tech tree once you reach level 5 and can be bought for 2 Tech Points. You can then use the Berry Plantation to plant Red Berries to feed your Pals
