If you wish to farm Precision Drilling Bit without risking your life and your ship, then there is a contract that you can pick up. The contract that you need to do is the Ocean’s Apart contract given to you by the Mysterious Rogue Vendor. To find this vendor, open your map and look around for Spectral Voyage symbols. They usually spawn around The Oubliette outpost, southeast of Saint-Anne. You can even go to the Oubliette outpost and visit the vendor. Pick up the Oceans Apart contract and find The Maangodin ghost ship. This is a level 8 ship, so higher level ships like the Padewakang are recommended for the fight.
If you can’t find the Maangodin ghost ship at the designated spot, you would have to quit the main menu and load the game again. You have to remember that the ship only appears at nighttime.
