Modern Warfare 2: How to Disable Crossplay?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is still in its beta version and available only on PlayStation. The PC and Xbox players need to wait a little more to get the game. Next, on 27^th October 2022, the official version of this most awaited game will finally be launched. Since the beta of the game launched on PlayStation, the Crossplay option has been there. Therefore, undoubtedly, players can use this feature when the game comes to other platforms, and finally, the full version is launched.

Crossplay Feature in Modern Warfare 2- How to Turn It Off?

Crossplay is one of the most popular features in multiplayer games. Players love to play games with their friends, but not necessarily everyone has the same platform. Therefore, Crossplay enables them to pair up across platforms and play together. The Crossplay is not a mandatory feature, though. You can turn off Crossplay whenever you want. But before you turn it off, remember that once you turn off Crossplay, you won’t be able to play with friends with different platforms, which means if you have PlayStation, you can no longer team up with Xbox and PC players without Crossplay enabled.

If you still want to disable the Crossplay feature, the process is straightforward. Follow the below steps-

Go to the Multiplayer Lobby
Don’t start the matchmaking process. Just be in the Lobby.
Press the Option or Pause button on the top right corner of your screen
From the next menu, find the Settings
Click on the Account & Network
You can turn on or off Crossplay and Crossplay Communication from the following menu.
If it is enabled, disable it, and Viceversa.

That’s all you need to do to disable Crossplay in Modern Warfare 2. Because the beta version is only available on the PlayStation, the Crossplay option is currently of no use. However, once the game becomes available on every platform, players can use it to team up with friends or disable it if they want.
