Pieta Boss Location
If you make your way towards Skyrest Bridge, you will encounter Pieta in front of the Cathedral before the bridge. You have to go past the Abadoned Redcopse Windmill and head over to the upper area, past the Iron Wayfarer, to find her.
Pieta Boss Fight Preparation
Since you will encounter this boss very early in the game, you won’t have a lot of resources to help you out. It is best to level up your stats by defeating other enemies and collecting Vigor. Try to increase all your base stats so you can get powerful enough to beat her. Second, Pieta is weak against fire attacks, so starting off as a fire class like the Pyric Cultist can help you a bit better. You can also pick up the Fire Salts just outside her boss room to help you. And finally, if you are still having a hard time, you can always summon NPC allies or friends to help you out.
Pieta Boss Fight Guide
- Pieta is a melee boss, and she uses her longsword laced with Radiance to draw attacks.
- Initially, she will take two rounded swings which can be avoided with timely dodges.
- After her second swing, she will rest for a few seconds. Try to get behind her and hit her with your weapon or spell
- Parrying her sword attacks will make her stagger for a bit, giving you enough time to hit her a couple of times
- She will also use her sword to send out bolts of Radiance, which can be quickly dodged
- The tip of her sword will also emit a bright light that will hit you at long range. Dodge or block it when you see it
- When her health is down to two thirds, she will turn into her second form
- In her second form, Pieta is faster and has a few new moves like dragging a trail of swords behind her when she flies from one side of the arena to the other.
- She can also summon clones of her former self, who will toss dual swords that will target and follow you
- Her clones can also shoot a beam of light from their swords for long range damage
- Pieta can also summon two of her angel form on either side who will drag swords behind them
- The best moment to hit her is when she comes close to you and swings her sword. Dodge the attacks, then wait for her to pause and put in some hits.
- She will also pause for a bit when she slams into the ground. This is also a good time to hit her
Ultimately you will find that her health rapidly deteriorates with each hit, and eventually you can knock her down. After she is slain, step into the Umbral realm and Soulflay the Umbral Sigma of Pieta nearby. You can unlock the Remembrance of Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal and two Umbral Scourings.
