Gentle Gaverus Location
You need to progress through Pilgrim’s Perch till you find an elevator that will take you down.You can find the elevator close to the Vestige of Blind Agatha, or The Bellroom Vestige. After getting off at the bottom, defeat the enemies guarding the tunnel and enter it. Climb down the ladder after you exit the tunnel to find another elevator. Taking this elevator will lead you to a tunnel that will eventually bring you to the Gentle Gaverus boss fight arena.
Gentle Gaverus Fight Preparation
Just before entering the arena, talk to Damarose the Marked. She might not have a lot of wares for sale, but you can purchase Adyr’s Rage. Her shop will vanish if you are defeated by Gaverus, so it is best to explore her shop before starting the battle. Next tip is to use a lightweight weapon to hit Gaverus very quickly. She is quite nimble and can move from place to place, so having Fire Salts or Poison Salts can add more damage to your weapon.
How to Defeat Gentle Gaverus
- When you first enter the arena, you will be met with several hounds. Defeat all the hounds first before you try to get close to Gaverus.
- You can shatter the armor on the hounds, using any strong weapon or spell. If you get overwhelmed, try to separate them and deal with them one by one.
- Beware of Gaverus’ arrows that will land on or near you. You can dodge them when you notice them.
- Gaverus can attack using melee and range. She has a sword for melee and a bow and arrow for range
- If you get close to her, she will quickly switch to melee attacks. Wait for her to finish her attack animation and dodge her swings.
- She will take a quick pause once she is done swinging her sword around. Use this time to hit her
- You can also parry her during her swings to stagger her for a moment, giving you a clear entrance to hit her
- She can also suddenly disappear in a puff of smoke and reappear elsewhere in the arena. Quickly follow her and tackle her
- If the hounds appear, you need to fight them off first and then make your way towards Gaverus.
- Repeat the above steps till her health has depleted and you can continue with the questline.
