The ghost girl will appear frequently on the moons Dine, Rend, and Titan. But she is not limited to only these moons, as some players have had sightings of her in other moons too. She can appear outside and inside buildings, and sometimes inside the ship too.
Only one player in your team can see her, and if they can then that means that she is haunting them. There are several indicators the haunted player will get before they find the ghost girl. Usually before she makes an appearance, you can hear giggling, heavy breathing, and muffled voices. Your flashlight will also start flickering, which can be seen by other teammates.
If you spot her, she will not immediately run after you. Rather she will take her time and taunt you by appearing in random places the deeper you go exploring. After your third or fourth sighting, she will start skipping towards you, which is when she is going for the kill. Players who are trapped in her embrace will be killed instantly. To avoid this, the only thing you can do is run. But that becomes difficult if you are carrying a heavy load.
How to Escape the Ghost Girl
It is best to frequently visit the ship after you get your scraps in the early stages and drop it off. After that you can follow your teammates and keep exploring the rest of the area, collect scraps, and drop it off. Keep doing this frequently so you don’t have to drop all your scrap in one go to evade the ghost girl. Even if you have to drop your final load of scrap to run away, it won’t leave a big dent in your quota. If you think this is impossible to do, then it is best to leave this moon and visit some other time. But for now, there is no weapon or item that can help you escape from the ghost girl besides running away.
