As soon as you land, the first thing you have to do is get rid of all metal items on you. This includes keys and anything that can pick up electric charge. Drop everything you have on the floor and make a run for it. When you hear a charging sound and spot a notification, that means the item is picking up electricity. Get as far away as you can and wait for the item to explode. Once it has exploded, you can safely pick up the item again and use it. But there is a chance that the item can pick up an electric charge again, so be weary and repeat the steps frequently. If you are caught within the electric charge and subsequent explosion, it is instant death.
Not all items will pick up electricity during a storm. Some of the items you can safely pick up and carry are plastic and brass items, glass containers, and chemical jugs. You can pick these up while you are on a stormy moon to sell for scrap instead. If you think this is too much of a challenge, then it is best to leave the moon and visit some other moon for the time being.
