To unlock the Altar of Stygian Awakening, you need to defeat the new boss Elena the Hollow. This is a level 53 boss, after which you can get the blueprint for this structure. Head over to your base and place it down to use it. You can find the structure under the build menu > Production > Dominance tab. The main purpose of the Altar of Stygian Awakening is to learn and unlock passive skills. Passives are divided into tiers, and there is one skill per magic type per tier. Each tier will cost a different amount of Stygian Shards to unlock. Below are all the passive abilities you can unlock under the respective tiers and its cost for unlocking them
Tier 1 Passive Skills – 400x Stygian Shards per ability
- Arcane Animator.
- Blood Spray.
- Chaos Kindling.
- Chillweave.
- Lightning Fast Strikes.
- Spiritual Infusion.
Tier 2 Passive Skills – 600x Greater Stygian Shards per ability
- Elemental Resistances
- Hunger for Blood
- Lingering Frost
- Skin Walker
- Soul Drinker
- Turbulent Velocity
Tier 3 Passive Skills – 1,000x Greater Stygian Shards per ability
- Cold Soul.
- Dark Enchantment.
- Embrace Mayhem.
- Enhanced Conductivity.
- Flowing Sorcery.
- Sanguine Mastery.
After unlocking the passive skills, they will stay on your character regardless of whether you have the active skill present or not
