The Magick Archer cannot be equipped by the pawn, so you can only use it as a main class. To unlock the Magic Archer, you must first reach Bakbattahl. This is the second region that will unlock as you progress through the main story line. You can find it on the west side of the map. If you follow the quests in Vernworth, you will be led to Bakbattahl. From Bakbattahl, travel further south to reach Drabnir’s Grotto. This dungeon is swarming with enemies and bosses, so you need to be prepared before you embark here. Once you reach the end of the cave and exit towards the bridge, you will spot an NPC called Gautstafr. Talk to Guatstafr to accept a small side quest. Once you complete it, you have to head over to the NPCs home a little further east. This requires you to cross the bridge to get there. There is a location called Windwalker’s Home, so go there to meet Cliodhna, his wife.
The quest with the old man will continue, but this time you have to take him to a hot spring in Volcanic Island Camp in the Agamen Volcanic Island region. This location requires you to travel further east, which is a slow process since the old man can’t walk too fast. Once you lead him there, Cliodhna will appear and grant you the Magick Archer vocation.
