The Bioreactor is one of the best power sources to unlock early in Subnautica 2. It lets you generate electricity for your base by using organic materials such as fish, seeds, and plants. This makes it a reliable way to keep your equipment running without depending only on solar power. In this guide, we will tell you how to unlock the Bio Reactor in Subnautica 2.
How to Unlock Bio Reactor
In order to collect the blueprint for building the Bioreactor, you are required to scan three fragments of the Bioreactor through the Scanner tool. Upon scanning all three fragments, the Bioreactor’s blueprint will unlock automatically and become available for you to construct it with the aid of the Habitat Builder tool. After crafting, place any organic material like fish, seeds, or plants to produce electricity.
Bioreactor Fragment 1 Location

You will need to start at your Lifepod and travel southeast. This means that you should go somewhere in the 120° to 130° range. Swim roughly 236 metres from your Lifepod, then stop when you find at the sea floor which contains two huge rock structures. Go between the rock pillars, look below you to your right, and find the opening to the cave. Once you enter the cave, keep moving until you reach a doorway on your right. In this room, you will come across a variety of useful objects, among them the fragment.
Bioreactor Fragment 2 Location

For the second fragment, go east straight away from your Lifepod and go for another 400 meters or so. Between your Lifepod and this destination point lies the zone of heated water. At a distance of some 350 to 400 meters from your Lifepod, you should find a sunken ship resting at the bottom of the sea. Go to the other side of the wreck and try to find the storage box. The second Bioreactor fragment will be found inside this box.
Bioreactor Fragment 3 Location

If you want to find the last piece, travel northward from your Lifepod, towards the Black Box Quaker crash site, otherwise called the Old Habitat. Make your way to the ship and use the entrance located at its lower right corner.

As you explore the inside of the habitat, you will find an oxygen tank that is leaking air, and that can be used to recharge your oxygen supply, should you need it. As you continue on, you will find the final piece of the Bioreactor in the left section of the corridor.
