Modern Warfare 2 has a couple of new multiplayer modes that you can try out at open beta, and one of them is the Knockout Mode. The rules are simple enough, but the mode is quite challenging in itself. As mentioned earlier, teams will be divided into groups of 6, and each member will have one life to spare. They can be revived at any time, but only once per round. The goal is to capture and guard the package of money that will spawn on the map. Whoever gets to the location first and gets ahold of the package needs to protect it till the round is up. The timer won’t start till someone has the package. If the player is dead, the timer stops again till someone picks it up. The round typically lasts 75 seconds, after which whoever has the parcel will be declared the winner.
If you wish to quickly end the round, the only other way is to eliminate the enemy team. When all members of the opposing team die, whether the parcel has been retrieved or not, the round will end.
